Emergencies happen without warning: a carer falls ill, a family member must travel suddenly, or a home becomes temporarily unsuitable. Our emergency respite care is designed to respond quickly to such situations. We keep a small number of beds available for urgent admissions, and we aim to confirm placement within a short window when capacity exists. The intake is simple, focusing on immediate safety and comfort, with a fuller support plan developed over the first day or two if the stay continues.
The emergency service includes:
- A room made ready on short notice
- Meals and refreshments from the time of arrival
- Staff available to help with settling in
- Contact with the family carer to coordinate as soon as practical
The amount shown is a deposit for an emergency respite placement. The final cost is based on the length of stay and the level of support.
